FAQ’s

What advice do you have for anyone interested in hiring a company like yours?

Remember – The sweetness of a low price doesn’t compare to the bitterness of poor results and service.

In this business, the adage “You get what you pay for” certainly applies. Ask potential companies for examples of their work, get feedback from neighbors and friends who may have used their services. Be sure their employees are properly licensed and insured to apply control products for weeds, insects, etc.

Do I need to be home for the lawn care treatments?

No. We will complete our work, post a sign and leave you an invoice, return envelope and information regarding what was done to your lawn, special instructions, etc.

When can I mow my lawn once a treatment has been applied?

We recommend that you delay mowing for 24 hours. However, the lawn can be cut anytime if the clippings are not bagged.

What if it rains during or after a lawn care treatment?

Rain is beneficial for most materials we may apply (liquid or granular), as it saves you the need to water them in. In some instances, broadleaf weed controls may be affected. If after 10-14 days weeds are not shriveled or fading, just give us a call so we can re-apply as needed.

I have a well – will your lawn care treatments affect it?

When properly handled, the materials we apply are designed to be absorbed by leaf tissue and/or bind to soil and other organic matter. Our licensed technicians are trained to strictly adhere to product labels for proper application rates and techniques, as required by law.

What if I only want some of the visits you suggested? If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about our trade?

We encourage everyone to take advantage of our Deluxe IPM Lawn Program, which includes preventative grub control, unlimited service calls and is fully guaranteed. Visits will be scheduled frequently enough to address your lawns needs. For those who prefer a partial program, service calls after 30 days are subject to a fee and a premium will be charged to include the preventative grub control.

If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about our trade?

The costs of fertilizers and the various control products have increased steadily in the last 5 years, so beware of someone emphasizing their low prices or willingness to undercut a competitor. To achieve results, lawn and landscape plant treatments need to be properly timed and applied for best results.
